On the Timbot (the Timber project's monster truck), there is a line tracker that can detect the pattern on a chevron tape on the ground. I will describe how the signals from the line tracker can be analyzed to estimate the position and velocity of the Timbot relative to the tape. This involves solving linear equations, and I will show a little DSL that supports that in Haskell.
